I am thrilled to be getting some nice feedback from my sporting profile articles in the County Press. I have a few in mind and this week Derek Ohren takes centre stage. In the next few weeks look out for some great Island characters in the column.
Got wind of a few famous stars coming to the Island later this year. Hoping to be able to resume my in person interviews.
I am enjoying ITV’s brilliant Unforgotten series. One of my favourite actors and, such a lovely person, Liz White (pictured), is playing Fiona. She has told me recently how much she enjoyed making the series. I think her character knows far more than she is letting on. She must have been in the car? Fancy claiming she was drunk and could not remember anything!! It’s compulsive viewing. Sadly, you can’t download the whole series. I guess having to wait a week makes it even more exciting. I have interviewed Liz on at least three occasions. She has been in so many hit series.
It was Sean and Susie’s twins second birthday on Thursday. Sadly, we couldn’t join them. Thankfully, we were able to join a Zoom party and it was great fun. Roddy and Ronnie were in great form. Sean had even booked a singer to sing some of the boys favourite songs and Matt Hill, who sang live from Manchester, was just perfect for the occasion. Family and friends from around the country were able to join in. We hope to pop up as soon as we are allowed to see them all.
We had a superb fish and chips dinner from the Jolly Fryer, who parks right outside my house every Thursday teatime. It completed a perfect afternoon in these testing times.
