Spent much of the week writing chapters for my 2018 book. So far, 60 of the 100 chapters have been written.
It was so nice on Thursday lunchtime to catch up with Ian Fraser, an old work colleague from my days with United Biscuits, and his lovely partner Joan, for lunch in Portsmouth. Bertie and I had fun and really enjoyed it. What culinary delights did I go for? It was the usual – scampi and chips.
On the way home I was delighted to arrange two Christmas book signings at Busy Bee, Ryde. Last year I did so well with my first book.
Still hoping my Saturday morning book signing is on at the County Press Shop. It was postponed from last week. Nothing about it in the new look County Press on Friday. Just assuming all is well. It is from 10am to noon.
Had my book signing at the County Press Shop on Saturday morning. Sadly, due to a problem with the pre-publicity, it was not as successful as anticipated. I would like to thank Alan Marriott, David Thornton and two of the shop ladies for some last minute help that partially saved the day. I enjoyed meeting those who came. Signed copies of the book are still available at the County Press Shop.
