It has been a quiet week but several fascinating interviews are being talked about and some are very exciting. I did interview my next choice for my regular Beacon feature – The John Hannam Interview. At this stage – I am just hoping it will work. My subject does not think he is interesting – and he’s wrong. It’s just how I can get his story into a thousand words.
I caught up with an old friend and he gave me the best radio interview we have ever had. Andy Strickland, an Islander, has had an amazing life and he’ll reveal all in a forthcoming John Hannam Meets. His story includes Island band the Confusers, two memorable London indie bands, Robert Smith, Morrissey, football magazines and the NHS.
