WC MAY 5.
On Tuesday I interviewed a lady I have admired as an actor for many years – Fiona Gwinnett. She is also the chief executive of the Island Women’s Refuge. It can soon be heard on John Hannam Meets – and is a mixture of a serious topic and fun.
On Wednesday morning I interviewed Alan Gurney for my June Beacon Sport Personality. He reveals all about his double life!
I went to the Ryde Afternoon Women’s Club on Thursday afternoon, as a late substitute for the booked speaker who could not make it. I had been a couple of years ago and they gave me a lovely reception for my unexpected visit. It was great fun.
The following night I had the thrill of interviewing goalkeeping legend Ray Clemence live on stage at the Riverside Centre, in aid of Prostate Cancer. He was in great form and we loved also meeting his lovely wife Vee. We had to leave before the end of the evening, as my girlfriend started work early on Saturday morning, and left my raffle tickets with a friend. We won three prizes – and that was a surprise!!!
On Saturday night I had the great thrill of interviewing Henry Sandon, from The Antiques Road Show and numerous other TV shows. What a character? He gave me such a brilliant interview – and what a memory! It makes great listening – him not me.
