WC July 15.
Tuesday was a very hot day but I did enjoy my trip to London. I headed for the Playhouse Theatre, which is just the other side of the Thames from Waterloo and simply just a walk on the foot passenger bridge. So much activity to witness in this part of London, with so many street performers. I went to interview two old friends – JOE PASQUALE amd BONNIE LANGFORD. Joe, who heads for Shanklin Theatre on Wednesday August 14, and Bonnie, who I had not seen since 2000, in Weymouth, are currently both in Spamalot. Both enjoyable interviews with two of the nicest people in the business.
July and August are always quiet months for interviews but I am following up some great leads for several Island-based guests – who all have fascinating stories. I also had two Beacon articles to write by the early part of the week and these feature 95 year old former Newport baker NEIL SHUTLER and a very talented former all-round Island sportsman – EDDIE WALDER. Both will appear in the August edition.
