I had an unexpected email from one of my longest showbiz friends – a great comic called Jeff Stevenson (pictured). He’d read about my surprise hospital visit in one of my recent blogs. I first interviewed Jeff on the Island when he was still a teenager. He came over to appear in cabaret. I have followed his career ever since. He hosted the ITV series Knees Up, was the comedian at Rodney’s stag night in Only Fools and Horses and  hosted TV game show Jumble in the early 90s. He recently won an award for his performance in the movie Touching The Blue. He began his long career in the West End production of Bugsy Malone.

Looking forward to interviewing this summer.
