I was very sad to hear of the death of Honor Blackman (pictured). What an amazing lady and she lived to the brilliant age of 94. Such an iconic actor. Next week I hope to do a Hannam Archive podcast to celebrate her life. I met her in 2000 in Borough, London. That was a few days before her show at the Medina Cinema ,Newport.
I have been writing a few features for the County Press. The first one likely to be seen is Carl Prean. I am busy planning a few more.
I have also had an idea to link a showbiz story, that involves two former Cowes people. It’s so fascinating. I hope the CP will also think so – otherwise it will be plan B.
On Friday I watched Rocketman – the story, or part of it, of Elton John. Some great moments to enjoy and some wonderful songs and good acting. Given the choice of the two, I did actually prefer the film about Freddie Mercury called Bohemian Rhapsody. The films make you proud of both of them. Real British talent.
