On Thursday night, December 6, at the Camphill Community Club, next to the former prison, John will be interviewing the original American rock ‘n’ roll star Charlie Gracie. He was famous for hits like Fabulous, Butterfly and I love You So Much It Hurts. They have been friends for nearly 20 years. John is hosting this relaxed evening and will be interviewing Charlie live on stage. There will also be a session to ask Charlie questions and for Charlie to meet members of the audience.
The following night Charlie will be in concert at the same venue. He is one of the few original American rock ‘n’ roll stars still playing live gigs. His support acts include Graham Fenton, the lead singer of Matchbox, and The Valley Boys and Annie May. Two DJs will be playing music from the eras on both nights. Tickets are available on the door for both nights. More information can be obtained from www.rockintheisland.co.uk or by ringing Shav on 07530417179.
