John was saddened by the death of Liz Fraser. He will never forget the day he visited her Fulham home and it was in a street of very similar houses. He quickly realised which one, because outside of her house was her lovely basset hound. He barked but let John in. Liz gave him a great interview and just before he went she said “I’ll make you a coffee and you can have a couple of digestive biscuits. I’m sorry I can’t get you lunch but I have a costume fitting.”
Those two biscuits were joined on the plate by cheese, tomatoes and lettuce. It ended up a salad. John last spoke to Liz at the 2017 Talking Pictures Film Festival in Rickmansworth.
