JOHN SADDENED BY THE DEATH OF WILF PINE.

John was deeply saddened to have heard of the death of his long-term friend WILF PINE. They first met in 1976 and had remained friends ever since. They came from vastly different worlds but remained loyal friends. Wilf appeared on John Hannam Meets on several occasions and John wrote a feature on him in the County Press. John was also thrilled to set up a meeting between Wilf and singer Elkie Brooks. Being a mutual friend to both, it was a day to remember. Wilf, who had a heart of gold, arranged for Elkie to sign up for a new album and he helped her get a book deal for her autobiography.

“During the last 40 years Wilf was so kind to me and my family and his generosity was so much appreciated. Both my late wife, Heather, and my new partner, Roberta, were so fond of Wilf. I have so many happy times to reflect on during my long friendship with him. I will miss him so much,” said John.
