In the March edition of The Beacon John has written a tribute to the life of heroic Island sailor COLIN SMITH. The full 1999 radio interview can he heard in full, via this website, the IW Radio and YouTube from Wednesday February 28. It’s an amazing story from a man who made oceanic history back in 1949. John, not a good sailor, even felt seasick in Wootton Creek, on the day of the interview.
