WC DECEMBER 11 BLOG

I went to see the Mayflower pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on Monday night. It’s simply an amazing show, with so much high tech effects. The Chuckle Brothers almost steal the show from the superb Craig Revel Horwood. It fantastic just to have them together in the same production. One of the theatre’s best pantomimes for years. An exhilarating experience.

Early the next morning I nipped over to the New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth, to see their production of Beauty and the Beast. It’s another sensational show, in a much smaller theatre. I can’t believe how good it is. The production is set in Portsmouth and it works so well. There are great songs, some really talented young people and it’s a little more refined than a normal pantomime. Quite the best show I’ve seen there for many years.
