SAD DEATH OF KEN YOUNG.

John was saddened to hear of the death of the Island’s 60s legend Ken Young, who was very famous for playing drums in The Cherokees, the most popular local band of the era. He died just before Christmas. John has said: “Ken was a fine drummer and a nice guy, with a great sense of humour. He was also a very fine cricketer and played long after many of us had retired from the game. Over the years he gave so much pleasure to thousands of young Islanders with his skilful drumming.”
