WC March 7.
Pacemaker check on Monday and all seemed well. Later in the day I attended the funeral of a lovely lady, Sheila Tweedie, who I knew from my days as a salesman for United Biscuits. I did a few talks for the Island Parkinson’s Society, which Sheila was a member of. Happy memories and condolences to her rather special family.
Had a great time on Tuesday when I visited my son in Rickmansworth. We had a great lunch and then a great walk on the towpath of the Grand Union Canal. Canals are one of my great loves and I still have an ambition to have a holiday on a canal barge. As I don’t do holidays this might never happen. Sean is recovering from a minor operation and during his short convalescence he watched four James Bond movies in a row – nine hours of Daniel Craig as 007.
Wednesday afternoon was great fun – which was well expected in the company of Rob ‘Emu’ Farley who is my next guest in The Beacon.
