WC FEBRUARY 22.

Sunday saw another birthday came and go. In the end I went to a christening in Yarmouth and loved it – and the cream cakes were such a delight! Some great birthday presents and some superb comedy cards. Only one mentioned my age – and that was from two of my favourite people – and they are in the family, too. They should have known better!

In less than two hours on Monday afternoon I recorded three interviews at the Electric Airwaves Studios in London. I was right in my element – and didn’t want to go home. It was such a thrill to meet the world famous author FREDERICK FORSYTH whose novels include The Day of the Jackal, The Odessa File, The Fourth Protocol and Dogs of War. They were all hit movies, too. He has sold 70 million books. He has just written an emotional war poem that has been set to music. It is stunning. I also interviewed the singer of the new song – MELISSA – from London’s Royal Opera House. What a voice she has. I completed the day by interviewing a great British singer/songwriter MICHAEL ARMSTRONG – who has recently released his very first album.

Went to a birthday party for a long-term friend, Dave Egerton, on Friday in Havenstreet. Sadly, Dave is not too well at present but Dave B brought his guitar and sang for about an hour and Dave E loved it. We ended up with a lunch party of ten at the Woodman’s Arms, Wootton, one of my favourite eating pubs.

Over the weekend one or two people expressed sadness that they can no longer hear me on IW Radio. I explained I was still on via new podcasts. When I showed then how easy it is to listen they contacted me to say they were now listening to both new and old interviews. If you google – you can get me in just a couple of clicks. Even I can do it!! Just tap in John Hannam and click on my website – the rest is so easy. Honest – and you can listen any time, night or day, anywhere in the world.
