Can I wish all readers of this blog a very Happy and Successful 2014. Life has suddenly sprung into action. On Monday I was invited to Whippingham to interview my old friend Les Payne who had made a flying visit home to record a track with young Island band Red Rock. They have actually recorded one of Les Payne’s songs, as one of his relations, Keir Hicks, is the band’s lead singer and guitarist.
On Saturday I achieved a very successful interview double. I caught up with my old friend Brian Conley backstage at the Mayflower. It was a full interview and for the first time ever his wife Anne-Marie makes an appearance on a radio show. Brian and I go back to 1985 when we first met at Sandown Pavilion.
