Went to Ware on Tueday to meet singer, songwriter and musician Russ Ballard. What a story he’s got! He’s written huge hits for Elkie Brooks, America, Hot Chocolate, Rainbow and Argent. He’s also played on many sessions for stars like Adam Faith and Leo Sayer, and sung the lead on hit records. Lovely guy, a beautiful house and so much talent. Another enjoyable day – with my female navigator. There were two ladies actually – one on the sat nav and the other sat in the car.
Spent Wednesday evening in the company of some lovely ladies from Ryde Tangent. The meal at Yelfs was superb and we did enjoy the group’s hospitality. They seemed to like my after dinner talk – which made it very worthwhile.
Interviews are now coming in again – and I am sorting out the ones I wish to follow up. Due to a change of circumstances, things are now slightly different – but I have no plans to retire.
