I nipped over to Southampton on Wednesday to interview two stars from the forthcoming Rocky Horror Show – DANI HARMER – famous for playing Tracy Beaker, she also had her own TV series Dani’s House and Dani’s Castle and made the final of last year’s Strictly Come Dancing with Vincent Simone – and SAM ATTWATER – who won the 2011 Dancing On Ice, played Leon Small in EastEnders and played in Dreamboats and Petticoats. They are playing Janet and Brad in The Rocky Horror Show. Both will be appearing on John Hannam Meets on Sunday May 5.
I enjoyed watching the legendary GEORGE HAMILTON IV at Shanklin Theatre on Friday night and he sang so many of my favourites from his long recording career.
I took a bus trip to New Milton on Saturday afternoon to interview young British comedian and actor CHRIS RAMSEY who is heading for Shanklin Theatre on Wednesday May 29. He’s a very funny guy and has been seen in Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Celebrity Juice, Mock the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats. He also starred in a brilliant BBC 2 sit com – Hebborn.
Ended the week watching the South Wight Youth Theatre’s two one act plays at the Quay Arts, Newport. The Village Hall and Blood Brothers were both outstanding productions from this talented young company.
