I nipped in to the Round House Tea Room on Monday to interview Andrew Taggart who has just retired after 18 years hosting the popular tea room, whth his lovely wife Pam and son Carl. Many people will miss the good food and the fun. Andrew is on my radio show on Sunday April 1 – no this is not a wind-up!
I had an enjoyable hour with the members of the Island’s CAMRA real ale drinkers at the Traveller’s Joy, Northwood, on Friday night. I was honoured to present their awards.
Went to the Cellar Bar at Eastney on Saturday night to see Denise Black’s Loose Screw. As usual, the hospitality was very good and so were her group, with one of my guitar heroes, Graeme Taylor. He will soon be on my radio show.
Just had confirmation of an exciting interview with an Easy Jet pilot – and he comes from the Island.
